For many years, the Kiwanis Club of Flagler Palm Coast has proudly celebrated Teacher Appreciation, honoring the dedicated educators who play a vital role in shaping the future of our community.
This meaningful tradition reflects Kiwanis’ deep commitment to children and education. Over the decades, the club has consistently recognized outstanding teachers from across Flagler County, highlighting their dedication, passion, and impact on students’ lives.
Celebrating Outstanding Local Students
Each month, one senior from each school is selected through a thoughtful and structured process led by school administrators and staff. Students apply for the recognition by highlighting their academic achievements, leadership qualities, community involvement, and future goals.
After careful review, each school nominates one student per month during the nine-month program cycle.
Recognized at Kiwanis Luncheon Meetings
During Kiwanis luncheon meetings, these remarkable students are celebrated for their hard work, character, and accomplishments. Club members have the opportunity to hear directly from each honoree about their college plans, career goals, community service, and future aspirations.
As part of the recognition, each student receives a certificate and a stipend in acknowledgment of their dedication and achievements.
Supporting the Next Generation of Leaders
At the end of the nine-month cycle, one student from each school is selected from the group of monthly honorees to receive a prestigious Kiwanis scholarship valued at $2,000.
This scholarship provides financial support toward continued education and serves as a symbol of the community’s belief in each student’s potential.
